This design collaboration, Horse Eating Sun Dance, was created with textiles designer Marta Maleck (RISD Textiles - 2010). Inspired by the ephemeral existence of once-mighty civilizations, this collection primarily references ancient Greek and Aztec civilizations. The design of the clothing references the shape of Möbius strip, while also relating to primitive yet sophisticated pattern designs, and portraying the cyclical patterns of our societies.  The weaving techniques, devoré, and jacquard designs used in certain garments reinvent early fabric construction techniques, while also examining topographical views and weathering effects on each culture’s respective ruins.  These anthropological ideas were then juxtaposed with the attitude of reggae artist Chaka Demus and designer Paul Poiret.
